The Hunt for Happiness

I think one of the most valuable and truly important things in life is appreciation for all that you have.  Finding happiness in the ordinary moments, people, places, and things in life – I mean really being in the moment and enjoying these times – is probably THE most beneficial thing you can do for your body, mind, and spirit.

irie happyEverywhere I go, when I let myself pay attention, I love to just absorb the sounds, the sights, the tastes and even how things feel.  Even if it’s just for a moment or two, finding those happy bits within a day is essential to a happy self.  Whether it’s getting lost in the feel of an old book for a moment, trying on an old hat in a thrift store, or just sitting for a spell to watch a deer or enjoy a wildflower gently swaying in the breeze – there are just so many little, ordinary moments in this life to enjoy.

I have always been a lover of happy and of simple joys, always on irie happy sunflowerthe hunt for those little bits of enjoyment.   Once you allow yourself some time out of your busy or hectic day to just take those few moments here and there – you too will become a happiness hunter.   In turn you will develop a whole newfound appreciation for life and love and you will be able to tap into inner peace.
